For those who know me will know that I am currently still a university student with plenty of deadlines and hectic schedules. However, during my free time I love to devote my spare time to hunting out the best restaurants, cafes & dessert places. This is because as a university student, I'm often so busy with deadlines and hectic schedules and my free time is really the only time I get to explore the city of Melbourne.

This year, the year 2020 really did affect and caused a lot of plans and trips to be cancelled. However, I was fortunate enough to be able to visit Vertue Coffee Roasters with one of my closest friend before the COVID-19 lockdown that started in early March this year. Vertue Coffee Roasters had always been on my list & after visiting the cafe personally, I really do agree with all the reviews I've read online prior to visiting them.

Vertue Coffee Roasters is a hidden gem tucked down in one of Carlton's narrow alley that you'd probably never stumble upon but so worth checking out!

Surprisingly, during our visit to Vertue Coffee Roasters, my friend & I did not had to wait for a long time. We were greeted by the friendly staffs and we then seated at a table for two. The first thing I noticed after being seated was the beautiful deco & bright space in the cafe's interior.

The cafe's building actually used to be an old stable which explains the high ceilings and the generous amount of space that you won't really find from other cafes in Melbourne.

MOVING ON..

Both my friend & I ordered 2 main dishes & an extra side to share. Of course, what is brunch without coffee? Prior to visiting Vertue Coffee Roasters, I have heard amazing reviews on their coffee therefore I had to try it out for myself! ☕️

I had the Salmon Rosti as my main dish and my friend had their Super Greens dish. We also had Curley Fries w/ Tomato Chutney on the side to compliment our main dishes! Personally, I think the food was really beyond satisfactory and delicious! The flavours were really fragrant and the salmon I had for my main dish was fresh and juicy! But, I've got to admit, I am a sucker for both coffee and curly fries therefore I think both of these has got to be my favourite one from Vertue Coffee Roasters. The coffee was incredible. Vertue Coffee Roasters uses high premium quality of coffee beans that really brings out the coffee fragrant and taste to satisfy all coffee lovers taste buds.

HERE COMES THE VERDICT

Overall, I really enjoyed the foods & coffee from Vertue Coffee Roasters. It was certainly up to the standards of what I've been reading through reviews prior to visiting the cafe. I would highly recommend those who have yet to visit Vertue Coffee Roasters to visit them and try it for yourself! I promise their coffee & food will not disappoint your taste buds 🤤
