Mixed Soy Garlic & Red Pepper (Whole Chicken)

KyoChon was founded in 1991 and it is one of the largest korean fried-chicken restaurants in South Korea. KyoChon's first headquarter was in Osan-si, South Korea and they branched out to various different states and countries in the later years.

The name KyoChon came from the word "Kyo” which means wisdom and enlightenment, while “Chon” means village.

During our visit to one of KyoChon's franchise store, we ordered their 'MIXED - WHOLE CHICKEN' dish that was listed on their menu. It consisted of KyoChon's classic Mixed Soy Garlic flavour chicken along with the Red Pepper flavour. Both of these flavours were a perfect combination to satisfy the sweet & savoury cravings as well as being able to challenge your spice tolerance 😜

The Mixed Soy Garlic chicken was sweet and the batter was a perfect foil for the sweet sticky sauce. It complimented the spicy Red Pepper flavour really well. As this dish consist of a whole chicken, there's a combination of both wings and drumettes. The chicken meat was very tender and soft, it almost felt like the meat was melting in my mouth. Both of these flavours are definitely one of KyoChon's best seller dish & I would highly recommend!

For those who enjoy eating chicken breast & thighs, this is for you! KyoChon's unique Salsal series encompasses their chicken breast and thigh pieces by frying them in a crispy batter that makes it very crunchy and flavourful!

To all those soy garlic lovers out there, the next dish that I am going to recommend is definitely for you! The savoury Soy Garlic Wingette is another classic dish from KyoChon that seems to be pretty popular among their regular customers. The Wingette is nicely coated in the soy garlic sauce that elevates the taste to the next level. As I am typing this, I can feel my mouth-watering 🤤
