Looking at this picture is making me drool but featuring Dim Sum dishes from Crystal Jade Restaurant. This famous bustling first-floor Cantonese restaurant located in the middle of Chinatown is always packed for both lunch and dinner services for its seafood dishes as well as their dim sum. They have a relatively big space however due to COVID-19 social distancing rules, they've limited the number of people allowed to dine-in in their restaurant. This is for the safety of all staffs and customers which is totally understandable.

Crystal Jade's tables are large so that it is possible to cater large-group catch-ups or extended family gatherings. Their famous dishes include ginger and scallion stir-fried loser over egg noodles, winter melon soup, coral trout, barramundi fish, their signature dim sum cart and more. The food selection at Crystal Jade is endless and sometimes it can get quite overwhelming especially if you are an indecisive person but don't worry, the staffs are quite friendly and they will always be more than happy to help / assist you.

Right before the COVID-19 lockdown here in Melbourne, my friends and I decided to catch up over dim sum for lunch. It was definitely something I look forward to the entire week once we made the plan. However, Crystal Jade is such a popular restaurant in Melbourne CBD especially for their dim sum that you have to make reservations prior to visiting their restaurant. My friends and I didn't know that people would start queuing right at 11am when they open the store but that was sadly the reality on the day we went. One of my friend was early therefore she queued for approximately 20 minutes before we were all allowed to be seated. The reality is that people often book months before the day they want to visit Crystal Jade, therefore next time if you ever want to try out at their restaurant, be sure to call and book in your bookings prior to visiting to avoid disappointments and waiting in the queue for a long time.

WAS IT YUMMY, THO?

YES. It was delicious and I loved it! I will definitely go back to Crystal Jade again! Crystal Jade has a wide variety of selections when it comes to their dim sum, the choices are endless and you don't have to worry because there is literally something for everyone. I highly recommend any food lovers who love eating dim sum because you won't regret it. The choices are endless therefore you will definitely be able to find something that are on their menu to suit your taste buds.

If you ever want to visit them, please don't forget to call in and book beforehand to avoid any disappointments 🤧

HERE COMES THE VERDICT

Overall, it is a must try experience if you're ever in Melbourne's chinatown. Crystal Jade can quite literally satisfy any of your dim sum and Chinese food cravings. Highly recommend!!!!
